Our home, Minjerribah is located just far enough away from Queensland's capital city of Brisbane. The island is 39km long and 20km wide at its widest and comprises over 25,000 hectares of wilderness, much of it now protected by National Park and/or Native Title, held collectively by the Quandamooka Aboriginal clans.
Straddie is the total paradise. Crystal clear water, wildlife like no where else. Our hope is that low impact, grass roots activities like camping and 4 Wheel driving will keep the Island amazing for generations to come. We also aim to ensure you have the best possible experience. Saying that, torrential rain does not always make for the best possible camping experience. So if the weather forecast turns nasty before your stay, we offer you a full refund on your booking in the hope you will re-book when the weather is perfect. We acknowledge the Noonuccal, Goenpul and Ngugi Traditional Owners of Quandamooka Country, the land in which we work, live and play and we pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.
